There are fabulous walks on the fells around Portinscale, mountain bike trails in Whinlatter forest and sailing on Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite Lakes. Portinscale is a small village just 10 minutes walk by an off road footpath in to Keswick town centre, where you will find a wealth of amenities. The village has a pub which serves bar meals, a tea room, restaurants and 2 marinas on Derwentwater. The property itself is furnished and equipped to the highest standards and is the perfect base to explore the Lakes or just relaxing in glorious surroundings.
